Running ads in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Wakad and Hinjewadi
A 10km radius from the city centre covers four completely different buyers. Here is how Pune's pockets actually behave, and what to change for each.
The default setting in every ad platform is a radius around a pin. Drop the pin on Shivajinagar, set 15km, and you have just told the algorithm that a software engineer in a new Hinjewadi tower and a third-generation family business owner in Kothrud are the same person. They are not, and your cost per lead will say so.
The pockets, and how they differ
- Hinjewadi, Wakad, Punawale, IT workforce, mostly 25-38, often first-time homeowners in newly possessed flats. High volume, price-sensitive, responsive to EMI and package framing. Fast decisions, lots of comparison.
- Baner, Balewadi, Aundh, higher budgets, more design-led, more likely to want a named designer than a package. Lower volume, higher ticket, longer consideration.
- Pimpri-Chinchwad, manufacturing and services base, strong value orientation, large family homes. Responds to durability and warranty messaging far more than to aspiration.
- Kothrud, Karve Road, Erandwane, established Punekar families, often renovating rather than fitting out. Trust and references matter more than ads; social proof and local reputation carry the decision.
- Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, premium and expat-adjacent. Small volume, very high ticket, almost entirely referral-driven. Usually the worst place to spend a small ad budget.
What to change per pocket
- The offer. EMI and package pricing in Hinjewadi and PCMC; portfolio and designer-led framing in Baner and Koregaon Park.
- The creative. New-flat fit-outs for the IT corridor; renovation before-and-afters for Kothrud.
- The budget split. Put the majority where your cost per lead is lowest, not where you would personally like to work.
- The landing experience. Localise the page or the form, naming the suburb in the ad copy measurably lifts response.
The listing that quietly decides this
For 'near me' searches, your Google Business Profile does the work, not your website. Its service-area settings, categories and review count determine whether you appear in the map pack for Wakad or only for the suburb you sit in. If you serve all of Pune, the profile has to say so explicitly.
If your campaigns currently run as one Pune-wide audience, splitting by pocket is usually the cheapest performance gain available. Happy to look at the breakdown with you.
