Marketing an interior design studio in Pune: the 2026 playbook

Kairos Media Team8 min read

What seven Pune interior studios taught us, 300 leads at a blended ₹147.51 each. Channel order, creative that works, and the follow-up gap.

Interior design is one of the better categories for paid media in Pune. The purchase is considered, the ticket is large, and buyers research visually, which is exactly what the ad platforms are good at. It is also a category where most studios do one specific thing badly, and it costs them most of what they spend.

What the numbers actually look like

Across seven Pune studios running Meta lead campaigns on client-owned accounts, the aggregate over Jun-Sep 2026:

  • 300 leads generated across the seven accounts.
  • ₹147.51 blended cost per lead across all spend.
  • Best single account: ₹81.81 per lead across 58 leads in one month.
  • Weakest account still in the book: ₹151.27 per lead across 48 leads.

The spread between ₹82 and ₹151 is not luck. It tracks almost entirely with creative quality and how tightly the offer is written.

The channel order

  • Meta first. Instagram and Facebook are where finished-work photography and walkthrough reels do the selling for you, and instant forms remove the friction of a landing page while you are still learning what converts.
  • Google second. Search catches people who have already decided to hire someone, 'interior designer in Baner', 'modular kitchen cost Pune'. Smaller volume, higher intent, higher cost per lead.
  • SEO and Google Business Profile third, running continuously underneath. Slow, but it is the only channel where the cost per lead eventually approaches zero.

Creative that works, in this category specifically

  • Finished-project walkthroughs shot vertically on a phone. Stabilised, well-lit, 15-25 seconds. These consistently beat professionally produced brand films.
  • Before and after, with the before genuinely ugly. The contrast is the entire message.
  • A single room rather than a whole home. Specific beats comprehensive, 'this 2BHK kitchen in Wakad' outperforms 'full home interiors'.
  • Price anchoring in the copy. 'Full 2BHK from ₹X lakh' filters out the people who were never going to buy, which raises your lead quality even though it lowers your lead count.

The gap that wastes it all

An instant-form lead is someone who tapped a button while scrolling. They have not committed to anything. If the first call happens the next morning, most of them will not remember filling the form, and a studio that calls within a few minutes will routinely outperform one that calls the next day on identical ad spend.

Before you increase your budget, fix the response time. Doubling spend on a two-day callback gap just produces twice as many cold leads.

A realistic starting budget

₹30,000-50,000 a month in ad spend, plus management, is enough for a Pune studio to generate meaningful volume and learn what converts. Below ₹20,000 the platform does not get enough data to optimise and you end up paying for a learning phase that never finishes.
